Diana D’Achille is a UX/UI designer with a passion for creating eye-catching user friendly experiences. Diana is currently a User Experience Manager on Verizon’s Corporate Communication’s Team. Over the years she has worked on numerous innovative projects and have been responsible for many of the visual elements on the Verizon’s website. She has had the opportunity to work in different areas; Design Lead Personalization Team, the Digital Operations Team, the Branding Team, and now her current position with the Communication Team. Her assignments have included homepage marquees, landing pages, UI concepts, UI redesigns, financial report releases, Verizon’s Privacy website, and lead designer for many of Verizon’s campaigns and device launches.
Born and raised in Denville, New Jersey. Diana was exposed to art and technology at a very young age. Her father is a computer science professional, so she has always been exposed to the newest innovations. Diana’s Grandmother is a talented fine art painter; a dedicated artist who works long hours. Having the opportunity to attend many of her grandmother’s art shows is what gave Diana her initial interest in art. Diana states “the combination of mixing technology with art is fascinating because it has no limits, the possibilities are endless”.
Diana holds a Master’s of Science degree with Quinnipiac in Interactive Media with a concentration in User Experience. She is a Cum Laude graduate from Marywood University with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Multimedia. During her undergraduate studies, she was a student-athlete all four years on Marywood’s Cross Country varsity team and a four year starter for the lacrosse team. She continued to earn a Mini Masters User Experience Certification from Rutgers and Web Master’s Certification from the County College of Morris. Diana enjoys the challenge of staying on top of the forever changing edge of technology. She is always looking to learn something new, as Diana says “Education does not stop after you graduate”.
Animals have always captured Diana’s interest and hold a special place in her heart. As a child she loved visiting the animals at the zoo and reading all about them. When Diana discovered Low Poly which is a design made from triangles, she then made a commitment to herself in 2014 to design 400 Low Polygon Animals. These designs are called Diana’s Animals and her collection continues to grow.
When Diana is not sitting at her desk designing, you can find her releasing energy in a physical activity. She loves to travel, the outdoors, and competing in 5k races for charities. Since she is a big animal lover as well, much of her graphic design work manages to be a combination of both animals and fitness. Diana contributes her positive and energetic personality from eating healthy and staying fit. Her most creative ideas are found on her daily runs. She also feels her past involvement in sports has taught her the importance of time management, discipline, and perseverance; qualities that every designer should possess.
